Woodcock

A Woodcock will stay quiet as long as possible when one comes too close. With its camouflage in a forest it is virtually invisible, which is its best defence-strategy. Only at the last moment it flees, making an unmistakable whirring sound. Woodcocks are the size of a pigeon and have a very long beak.
