Wheatear

The Wheatear - or Northern Wheatear - can be recognised by its beautiful white rump and black tail. Wheatears are strong flyers. Some of the birds, passing by in autumn, breed in Greenland or Iceland, then cross the Atlantic to forage in western Europe, ending up in Central Africa to stay for the winter !
