Sanderling

If you're on the beach, and you see near the tide line small waders quickly running back and forth, then it is almost certainly a group of Sanderlings. Taking into account their size they are formidable flyers. From Greenland, where they breed, they fly to Europe to gain strength on the beaches and then continue to West Africa, where they stay for the winter-period. And they often weigh less than 50 grams ....
